Somewhere in Nigeria today, I was in a bus heading home. All buses that go through this route move in one direction (not the musical group).

Except there’s traffic – and a diversion if plied. But today was different.

Always look. Before you leap, of course. Click To Tweet

Today, a bus broke that rule and plied the diversion instead of the main route.

The driver of the bus I was in, looked to see if there was traffic about several meters ahead. So why?

We didn’t know. There was no way to ask because the bus had sped off. Perhaps an invisible bus was towing it somewhere else or something.

The driver of the bus I was in, after thorough research from his driving point stayed on the main route and I got home early.

This taught me one thing. Sorry, make that two for the house:

  1. Try to not follow herd mentality (good or bad). Go figure. Always!
  2. Always look. Before you leap, of course.

These are the lessons for tonight. Good night!
