Three weeks ago, there was no light. Except sun(light).

Not just three weeks ago aka 3rd February. This was consistent for the entire twenty-one days or more.

You hear generators chattering for dominance.

Then, the power holders: generators and distributors awoke from slumber and decided…

…that there will be light. That was about five days ago.

About two days back, they showed up with NEPA bills, with astronomical figures printed on them. That wasn’t all.

They came back recently, with ladders, scissors and gloves to disconnect light for people who’ve not paid.

My questions to the Minister of Power and the Ministry of Power are: Are you fellas power intoxicated or what – that you think you can restore light whenever you want and then, you charge high and if no one pays, you take the light? How can you not give but want to collect? Why not give everyone prepaid meters so that we pay what we use and you lose when you don’t give light?

Why?
