Not mentally.

Not strength wise.

She infused strength in whomever she came in touch with.

She had bills to pay,

Stuff to stay alive but…

She was poor,

Nothing on her but time

Not one on a time piece but that which clocks in twelve and twelve

Or twenty four.

She pitched her twelve and twelve to buyers:

Employers and clients.

Some bought, some shooed her away and instead asked that she sell something else,

“Don’t you have anything else you’re selling?”

But she kept on believing and fighting,

Buying money with her time from those who cared to buy.

Now I look at her,

The beautiful, smart, charming lass,

Buying time with money in compound format.
